1. Service description
Patchr provides a Work Execution Protocol for automated workflows: a hosted API, an orchestration runtime, credential-scoped bridge connectors, a proof-generation system, and associated developer tooling. The service enables builders and operators to compose, execute, and audit automated work with tamper-evident proof outputs.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to abuse the service or use it in ways that violate these terms. Prohibited conduct includes:
• Using proof packs or proof cards to misrepresent outputs, fabricate evidence, or deceive third parties about what a workflow did or concluded.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer the Patchr protocol, API schemas, proof-generation pipeline, or underlying infrastructure.
• Reselling or sub-licensing API access to third parties without a written Enterprise reseller agreement.
• Sending requests that exceed documented rate limits, circumvent rate-limiting controls, or degrade service availability for other users.
• Using the service to process or store data that violates applicable law, including OFAC-sanctioned activity, CSAM, or content that violates third-party intellectual property rights.
Patchr reserves the right to suspend access immediately and without notice for fraud or abuse.
3. Account and credentials
Account creation and authentication are handled exclusively via OAuth (Google, GitHub, Microsoft Entra). Patchr does not store or manage passwords.
You are responsible for the security of your API tokens. Tokens are bearer credentials — anyone who holds them can act on your behalf within the scope they permit. Rotate tokens promptly if you believe they have been compromised. Patchr support cannot recover or restore a leaked token; you must revoke it and issue a new one from the dashboard.
4. API usage and rate limits
API usage is governed by the plan you have subscribed to:
• Builder plan: 500 workflow runs per calendar month. Overages will cause subsequent requests to be rejected with HTTP 429 until the next billing cycle.
• Team plan: Unlimited runs within fair-use policy. Sustained automated abuse that degrades shared infrastructure may result in throttling with 24-hour advance notice.
• Enterprise plan: Custom run limits and SLAs defined in your order form.
You may not resell, sublicense, or white-label API access to third parties unless you have a signed Enterprise reseller addendum with Patchr.
5. Proof outputs — disclaimer
Patchr proof cards and proof packs are informational artifacts. They represent a structured, tamper-evident record of what an automated workflow did, in what order, and with what evidence, as observed by the Patchr runtime.
Proof outputs are not legal opinions, regulatory certifications, compliance attestations, or professional advice of any kind. Do not use them as a substitute for qualified legal, financial, medical, or regulatory counsel. Patchr makes no warranty that proof outputs satisfy any specific regulatory requirement or legal standard in your jurisdiction.
6. Data and storage
Patchr stores workflow traces (inputs, outputs, and intermediate steps) and proof artifacts (proof cards, proof packs, vault records) on your behalf. This data is associated with your account and retained while your account is active.
You may export your data at any time via the dashboard or the API. You may request deletion of your account and associated data; see the Privacy Policy for retention periods. Patchr does not use your workflow data to train machine-learning models.
7. Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance.
• Team plan: $49 USD per seat per month, billed to the payment method on file.
• Enterprise plan: Custom pricing defined in your order form.
Plan changes (upgrades, downgrades, seat additions) take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Patchr does not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time on the current billing cycle except where required by applicable law. All prices are exclusive of taxes; you are responsible for any applicable sales, VAT, or GST.
8. Termination and suspension
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Patchr may suspend or terminate your account for material violation of these Terms of Service, including prohibited conduct described in Section 2. For most violations, Patchr will provide 7 days' written notice and an opportunity to cure. No notice is required for fraud, abuse, or activity that poses an immediate risk to other users or the integrity of the service.
Upon termination, your API tokens are revoked immediately. Proof artifacts and workflow traces will be retained for 30 days to allow export, then purged according to the Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Patchr's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to the service shall not exceed the amounts you paid to Patchr in the 12 months preceding the claim.
In no event shall Patchr be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption — even if Patchr has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of incidental damages; those limitations may not apply to you.
10. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
